So, are we going to see another preemptive cave by President Obama,
Well, the budget is out, and now we can look forward, with trepidation, to the next big economic battle on Capital Hill, the funding of the government.

Last December Congress passed a temporary funding measure to keep government running through March 3. If some sort of solution isn't reached before then, on March 4 the government shuts down.

Now the 'Pugs, despite getting burned with the Newt led shutdown of '95, are chomping at the bit to shut the government down this year, that is unless they get their way and enact even more draconian cuts to our budget.

The last time we saw this sort of "hostage taking" scenario was back in December, when the 'Pugs dug in their feet on the Bush tax cuts, and in a hostage taking situation, vowed not to let anything else pass unless those tax cuts were extended.

Rather than doing the right thing, both for himself and more importantly for this country, Obama did not call their bluff when he had the public firmly behind him. Instead, he did a preemptive cave, two weeks out, early in the game.

That does not bode well for the upcoming scenario. Once the 'Pugs have found that they can get their way by this "hostage taking" method, they aren't going to give it up.

So what will happen in the next couple of weeks. Will Obama and the Dems actually find a backbone in order to stand up and fight these 'Pug thugs, or will they do as they've done so many times before, cave without a fight, leaving we the people to suffer the penalty of their cowardly ways?

1. Cave
Obama just reads his lines as written by Wall Street. He isn't going to go all impromptu on us.

5. If the past indicates anything, he will come up with a "compromise"
that gives the GOP more or less everything they want while hurting vulnerable people on our side.

6. And it will be called good,
Pragmatic, practical, and that we shouldn't complain, Obama is doing the best he can. Not to mention that he really can't do anything to prevent this.

7. He'll cave.
The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior. He'll fold like a cheap deck chair.

8. Sadly I think you're right,
Even worse are the justifications we'll have to hear.
