Sean Hannity Guest Exasperated From Preposterously Pointless Debate
Edited on Sat Feb-12-11 04:59 PM by Swede
This was in December.

No one suggested debating Sean Hannity would be easy or intellectually stimulating, but it at least seems fun as Hannity guest Imogen Lloyd Webber, political commentator and daughter of famous composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, found out last night. First Hannity read off a litany of generic complaints with the British healthcare system from rationing to waiting periods to deteriorated care, all of which was dismissed pretty convincingly by Webber’s more concrete statistic that “life expectancy is longer in the UK than .” From there the two could not agree on facts or even on what issue they were going to debate, which in the end led to an exhausted Webber making a visibly disgruntled face to Hannity’s amusement.

1. Sean Hannity's house on Long Island

Just your average high school grad's home. Pretty lucrative, that spreading hate and lies daily thing.

4. Pointless, of course. That bozo likes to talk *at* his guests -- he's the "expert".

Only a know-it-all tells a Brit all about her country's deficit & healthcare system as though he's an authority & won't allow her to get in her point of view adequately. This interview was clearly not intended for anyone to learn about another country's healthcare system; it was intended as a "we call this socialism & it's bad" opportunity.

She got in a good lick at the end after bozo claimed that under Britain's system an elderly person would get turned down for a hip replacement due to life expectancy (remember, this is Fixed News claiming this). She said there are 50 million people in the U.S. who are uninsured & if given the choice, they would choose their socialized medical system.

5. He is a coward. Someone needs to wipe that smirk off of his face.
One day he may interview someone that is not so civil.

6. I'm tired of RWNJs telling us that people "hate their health care system".
They go on and on about how people in Canada want the "best health care system in the world", which just happens to be right here in the US of A. They cite unnamed ghosts who complain about the unspeakable horrors of socialized medicine that is shoved down their throats.

Here's a bit of information for them: If they really wanted "our system", all they'd have to do is call Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Canada, sign up, and tell them where to send the bill. There's no law against owning a private insurance policy, and companies in Canada even offer top shelf extended coverage for new executives to lure them into the fold.

I don't know what the circumstances in England are, but I highly doubt the government could stop anyone from wasting their Euros on expensive insurance they don't need.
