REGINA—A judge has ruled that there was reasonable doubt a decorative sword a Regina man stuffed down his shorts was designed to be used as a weapon.

Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Janet McMurtry made the finding in upholding a lower court’s acquittal of Teran Darcy Laplante.
