Well wishes to Gabby Giffords and her family.

It is hard to believe that one month has already passed since the tragic shooting in Tucson. As the world continues to turn and other news stories dominate the wire, updates on Gabby become more and more sporadic. Certainly, her family and her doctors have also chosen to offer fewer updates on her progress -- a wise decision, I am sure.

But as a person who broke into tears upon hearing of this tragedy as it was unfolding in Tucson, I would like to say that a day has not gone by without me thinking of Gabby and her family. They are in my thoughts and my prayers. May she make as full a recovery as humanly possible. May she return to her important work in Congress. And may she remind us all that there are countless brain trauma patients in this country who do not have, and cannot afford, access to the health care they need for rehabilitation.
