Was just ICQing with three friends of mine in Egypt
One by one they stopped responding and their accounts timed out.

That was very chilling and I'm worried now. Twitter is going absolutely crazy with everyone saying nobody can connect to anyone in Egypt; even reports of landlines getting cut. Rumor flies fast on Twitter, sure, but I do feel confident saying something big (and probably not good) is in the works for after prayers tomorrow.

1. I haven't heard from my friends in Egypt except for a Facebook
post this morning. They are in Cairo.

Though MSN is much more popular in Egypt.

8. It's now just a subset of AIM
AOL bought them back when both were still somewhat relevant.

5. They were all fine so far
Just some tear gas and nothing much more; they're in Alexandria where they're saying it's quieter than Cairo but very very tense.
