"UConn Donor Demands Return Of $3 Million Donation." Make no mistake..
These people believe that money gives them the absolute right to make the rules and don't think for a moment that they do not put the same pressure on elected officials. And by the way...this guy was a big bush contributor though I guessed that before I looked it up on opensecrets.

2. He should be greatful that he has enough education
so that he can make all that money to donate to UConn. It seems to me that he should want to donate $ to the university's athletic dept. so that they can do their jobs. Egomania run wild.

3. It sounds as though major university football programs are surrounded by people
who can't afford NFL teams, but think they can get one 'on the cheap' by making large donations. Wasn't there a story recently about a similar donor trying to wield power in the Clemson program?

4. Funny what the womans basketball team, Coach Geno Auriemma said.
"His statement that Jeff has a poor working relationship with the basketball coaches pisses me off. He has no clue what my working or personal relationship is with Jeff, nor is it any of his business. On a lighter note just thankful he doesn't like basketball."

6. 3 mil out of a budget of 50 mil does not give him the
right to select coaches, that is the job of the AD.

8. Sounds like Burton wants to select the new coach himself in exchange for his donation.
