I just heard on Rachel Maddow's show
That after the State of the Union speech, of course the Republicans will respond to it. The surprising thing is after that, the Tea Party will Respond to both...

So they get to respond, but other parties such as the Green and others don't? Yeah, I know that would take forever, but how is that suddenly the Tea Party gets this privilege?

1. Even crazier
they've pre-recorded their response.

They don't need to hear the damn speech, just like they don't need facts.

5. Are there any elected Greens in the Congress?
Even though it's not an "official" response, that imbecile Bachman does have a caucus of other idiots that are elected. I'm sure if the Green Party wanted to they could also have an online response.

25. I'm all for it.
Sanders is the man but he doesn't speak for a party or a group of like-minded elected officials. The other Independent is frigging Lieberman.

6. That media report of how the Tea Party will be atypically covered before the event is weird. !!
The core of TV, other media, and politics appears scripted; those out of bounds in perception being mentally ill. <sarcasm>

13. It's not an official thing.
But because it's Bachmann people will play the craziest bits.

The other minor parties can webcast their responses as well -- nobody will care, but they can.
