Many DUers have announced that they will not donate to the President this time, whethor or not they vote for him.
Your money, your choice.
However, if you have five bucks or more to spare for whatever reason, it strikes me that Wisconsin is a worth place for leftie dollars right now.
The recall election is in June. I'm guessing Koch is donating big time and the national party is focusing more on national elections than on Wisconsin. (Remember Martha Coakley's run for Kennedy's seat, now occupied by Koch beneficiary and Republican Scott Brown?)
For me, the recall election is about even more than (D) v. (R), where you need to look at the letter behind the name to know you which is which.
For me, the Wisconsin election is about Wisconsin's workers---maybe all workers in the U.S.-- and their right to unionize so that they can stand up to powerful employers for the rights of workers.
Those are the core values of classic Democrats, of all lefties (even of a certain former President of the Screen Actors Guild).
For me, it is also about whether rich people can buy every political seat they choose and union bust, ala John D. Rockefeller.
It is about the 99% versus not only the 1%, but the 1% of the 1% of the 1%. ("Only" a few hundred billionaires in the U.S., doncha know, out of a total population of well over 300 million.)
IOW, for me the Wisconsin election is about everything that has been in my sig line here for years.
Just sayin'.
