Has anyone noticed that Ads are showing up here on "Old DU 2?"

If the site is no longer supported...why are there ads? Seems to me, I just noticed them yesterday. I have a star and so not supposed to see ads but when DU 2 was current I still saw them on front page on side bar. They disappeared when site changed to DU 3, but now I'm seeing them here again.

Is this something positive happening? Or, am I just imagining.... :eyes:

1. Never hurts to imagine something positive happening.

I thought I noticed them too, but it coincided with turning my ad block off for an unrelated reason.

3. Yes...it blocked them on posts on this site...but still saw them on the sidebar...

The Blog Ads. I could block them with Ad Block, but most times I didn't bother.

They weren't here after the site change over...but, yesterday I started to notice them on sidebar when I went to the DU2 Forums for the first time. I've been here every day since switch over so think I would have noticed them before. :shrug:

5. Left side bar has had ads as long as I've been a star member and a moderator.

On the home page and the main "Discuss" page.

These are where the infamous bloody PETA images would show up, even paying members and moderators have had to use blocking technology to not see them.

6. I wasn't seeing them since the switchover, though.

They are still active and should they be there since this site is now "not supported?"

BTW...yes...those PETA ads were the only ones I finally resorted to Ad Block to get rid of. Ugh! It hurt their cause more than helping.
