10. We do Netflix, 3 out at a time, and keep them rotating about 1/day. We have

not had teevee since the signal went from analog to digital. Outside antenna on 40' pole, and we only got two channels prior to the switch. The converter box didn't work.

No cable to our house. Don't want a dish or any similar systems.

Now it's movies, old teevee series, more reading, more music. We augment Netflix with movies from the library.

Life is simpler now.

TPTB, however, arranged an anti-Avatar meme in the media. There is no question that Avatar was unduly criticized for frivolous reasons. Avatar had an anti-imperialism statement that the "powers" did not want to be so widely accepted.

This nation is so fucked.

understood the anti-imperialist message contained in Avatar. Sometimes I wonder what Murdoch is thinking. I mean, why would anyone promote fascism, especially someone that was filthy rich? What more could they hope to gain. Are there no limits to greed?

It did have the whole white man saves the native tribe thing going on. You could have had the same anti-imperialist message but the main character could have been a member of the native tribe.

Another movie coming out soon with an interesting message - The Hunger Games. I'm really surprised that the books are being made into movies, considering that they are about the 99% of a future fascist US rising up against the 1%. And winning. :)
