Perry ad on gays in military triggers backlash, especially online
(From my local paper,today...if you can access it online to read the comments,do!)

http://www.dallasnews.com/news/politics/perry-watch/headlines/20111208-perry-ad-on-gays-in-military-triggers-backlash-especially-online.ece

Rick Perry’s newest TV ad, aimed at social conservatives in Iowa, has triggered a backlash from gay-rights advocates and others — especially on the Web, where negative buzz quickly spread.

In the 30-second ad, airing in Iowa and on Fox News, Perry underscores his Christian faith and criticizes the rollback of the government’s policy of prohibiting gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military.

“You don’t need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there’s something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can’t openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school,” says the Texas governor, dressed in a tan coat before a backdrop of trees. He also accuses President Barack Obama of waging a “war on religion.”

The message is the latest in a series of recent attempts by Perry to make a fresh go at evangelical Christian voters. But it took on a life of its own online.

3. I want him to go away after...
...his concession speech in the aftermath of losing 40+ states in the general election.

It's not gonna happen though. He may be too damn big a fool even for this rethug party, and that's saying something!

PEACE!

4. Sick
I am sick and tired of these Believers of all faith of this creationism fairy tale myth, about this fairy tale God and religion, that has done nothing but caused and crated hatred bloodshed, intolerance and violence from the beginning, and is still doing the same today all over the world, spreading hatred,Intolerance and bloodshed, and as I see it is going to destroy us all sooner rather than later, because it seems to be only getting worse today, especially in America

2. Perry's Assinine Comments
This will likely be a turning point in his campaign - the comments are just so inexcusably stupid that it will create a big backlash. How anyone in Texas can vote this clown as the state's governor is beyond all belief.

8. It's so nice to see his shtick not working on a national level
He's an asshat who panders to the worst, most hate-filled fringe of the Republican Party. It may work for him in a state where the fringe Republicans out number the rest, but the rest of the US isn't that stupid anymore. Bush helped screw that up for Perry and all the others out there like him. :D

10. It's heartwarming to me to see that this nation seems to maintain
some kind of "bottom threshold" for stupidity, even within the Republican primary voter demographic.
