Made in America. Are you willing to help create 200K new jobs?
"World News with Diane Sawyer" is gearing up for a "Made in America Christmas" and we need your help.

The average American will spend $704 on holiday gifts and goodies this year, totaling more than $465 billion, the National Retail Federation estimates. If that money was spent entirely on US made products it would create 4.6 million jobs. But it doesn't even have to be that big. If each of us spent just $64 on American made goods during our holiday shopping, the result would be 200,000 new jobs.

rescind those first?

No, we're supposed to buy American -- but this year's American is next year's China in many cases.

Quit making it more profitable to manufacture overseas.

3. but why does "up to us" seem to always devolve into "buy this instead of that"?
I was here for the first "Buy American" thing. That was the time for it if it was going to happen, but it didn't. It just got worse, and the reason is that the PTB can channel consumer spending anywhere they want through the right combo of tax breaks, wage increases/decreases, free trade agreements and propaganda.

Why not target the power if it's "up to us"?

5. WPA, new co ops, and a restoration of gov jobs that GOP cut
These three are the answer, not bandaids on the Private Sector....all that Sector does is bankroll the GOP.

Who needs that? Really?

What are you thinking?

6. What are you talking about? Our laws make it MORE PROFITABLE to manufacture
outside the country, all else being equal. That's pretty fundamental. Co-ops and buying American won't do much when the BASIC RULES OF BUSINESS are so skewed.

Changing those rules/laws is not "putting a band-aid" on anything.

9. If we have to BUY SHIT instead of FIX THE PLANET to "fix" the economy, then FUCK the ecomony
If it's going to be THAT easy to defeat us, there's not much point in whining about the Tea Party, is there?
