2. I won't set foot inside a Wal-Mart.
Our main Wal-Mart here has just done a HUGE expansion, with all the groceries and so on, but I'm not tempted. Costco for me.

3. Me neither.
Besides the high minded purpose of boycotting the beast, I frankly feel scared and uneasy about my safety when I'm in one.

Police use stun gun on Wal-Mart shopper in Milford, Conn., who punched another customer.

(AP) -- A police officer in Milford, Conn., used a stun gun on a Wal-Mart shopper who allegedly punched another customer.

Police say 26-year-old Brian Shellnutt hit another shopper as they waited in line to buy video games late Thursday night. He allegedly ignored an officer's warning to stop fighting before the officer used the electronic device on him.

9. It's.. It's... The War On Christmas...
Somehow I doubt O'Reilly will discuss this as part of his "war on christmas".

Spraying shoppers with Mace.. GOOD! Saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas... BAD.

11. An extra WTF for the stun gun incident
Edited on Fri Nov-25-11 06:12 PM by RufusTFirefly
For those who don't recall, stun guns were originally sold to the public (and to police departments) as a non-lethal alternative to real guns. Not as quick fix solutions for police who are too dim or lazy or inexperienced to actually do their jobs. You mean to tell me that if he didn't have a stun gun that the cop would've actually pulled out his service revolver and shot the guy who was fighting in line?

Talk about mission creep...

30. Of course they are
They want to be reelected and will lie, cheat and steal to do it. Few morals, despite the fact that they masquerade as the morally supreme.

I do remember people going insane over the Cabbage Patch Kids. It was on the news, and I remember adults talking about the nonsense that was going on with people trying to get one of those dolls. The dolls were targeted at people about my age at that time, and for children a little younger. I remember lots of the girls in my class had them, and talked about them all the time. Every year, it seems, there is some "must have" toy for kids that millions of parents turn crazy in trying to get for their tykes. Half the time, the kids are done playing with whatever that must-have toy is before their parents are singing Auld Lang Syne for New Year's Day.

I went to bestbyuy, target, gamestop and costcos. No mobs no long lines in any store plenty of parking. But I went after 12 PM so maybe all the crazy happened last night.

I went and got my mom's stocking gifts-My Brother and I do it for her ever since my dad died 7 years ago. It wasn't too bad-the only part of the store that was busy was Electronics.

31. No doubt the plan for the some of the people going crazy over them
is to get them cheap so they can sell them at a mark-up on E-bay or Craigs List or whatever people are selling stuff on these days.
