Here is what was probably used where fifteen people were hurt this morning during "competitive shopping."



Granted, it was indoors, and not in open air.

But the media was not that concerned about the Davis incident and we learned of injuries as an after thought.

Now if there was a text book example of how media creates a narrative, there is one.

If you get pepper sprayed by a fellow shopper looking for cheap goods, we show concern. If you get well... you get the picture.

Oh and it is painful either way and can still lead to an asthma attack

PS they did show it, but I am pointing to the injuries present. We know from streams and other sources a kid was heaving blood for forty five minutes, Not that the NYT carried that.

1. It's because one incident was concerned with shopping

which is a subject that the vacuous morning news programs dote on, while the other involves more serious issues of abuse of governmental authority that the majority of their mush-brained commentators and viewers would rather not have to cope with.
