I need help with photobucket.

I know...embarrassing, right? Well, this doesn't come so easily for me, at my advanced age.

I have a photobucket album. How do I get it onto DU?

[A HERETIC I AM]

1. When you hover your mouse over a photo you have uploaded....

a drop down will appear.

Left click on the link that says "Direct Link"

It should say "Copied" meaning it is copied to your notepad.

Then make sure your cursor is in the body of your DU post, right click and hit "Paste".

Voila.

Hit "Preview" at the bottom of the post page to make sure it will show up.

2. The album itself doesn't come onto DU.

You want to post your pictures, right?

Put your cursor over the picture, and some links show up under that. Don't click on the picture; click instead on the second link down.

I think it says "direct link." But it is the second link.

That copies the link, and then you bring it over here and put it in either your thread, or someone else's thread, wherever you want to display it.

It's like doing a copy and paste.

9. The album does come on

You copy and paste the HTML code in the drop down menu

3. Do you want to put the whole album on or just individual pictures?

If you want just individual pictures, you copy the URL at the bottom under the picture, and then paste it here. (just kind of float your mouse over the picture, and the stuff will come up at the bottom). If you delete the first part that says IMG (with the brackets) when you post it here, you won't get the little box on the side.

As for posting whole albums, I don't know about that.

5. Just place your cursor over the image and click on the 'direct link'

then paste it to DU

7. that video is out of date.

Just copy the url of the video and paste it to the message box on DU

Pick the HTML Code in the drop down menu when you roll your mouse over the image.

10. To Paste a picture after you copy it at Photobucket (in case you don't know how to copy/paste):

After you copy the link, as per all the above posts, come here to DU, either start a thread or "reply" to a thread, in the "message" section, right click on your mouse and a menu will pop up, select "paste" and your link will paste to the message. After you post your message, it will show up as the picture when you go back to it.

It took me FOREVER to teach myself how to copy/paste. :) If you already know how to do this...just ignore this post. ;)
