People are interested in those things. Michael Jackson was the most successful pop artist of his generation. And sex scandals generate lots of interest, especially among people who follow politics.

It's not some vast conspiracy . . . it's the media serving their customers. If an outlet doesn't cover these stories, those who are interested will go to an outlet that is covering them.

While I would prefer that people take more of an interest in the types of things that interest me, I don't begrudge them for not doing so nor do I begrudge the media for catering to their interests. The world does not revolve around the nerds and news junkies, nor should it.

As to details...that's it. He was shot with a rubber bulet while filming OPD...that's it. There is a pattern of pds doing that. But that IS the highlight. Reporter got shot while filming riot police standing in line. That is it. Now go look for it on current.
