My father of blessed memory hated Joe Paterno because

my Dad was an employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and thus unable to participate in political activites. But Paterno, also an employee of the Commonwealth, regularly showed up at Republican Conventions, fundamentally endorsing the nominee. His attendance at the conventions was well-covered by the PA press, and...well, you get it, I'm sure.

Paterno's worth is gigantic, BTW. He and his late brother controlled much real estate and business in that region as well as the network which broadcast the games, at least in the old days.

Typical sports/money stuff. He's gotta go...TODAY. He and the President of the University.
