It will be a great day in America whenever...
...the voters throw out the politicians that do not listen and do not vote for the people's interests.

There are politicians that are so arrogant that they believe they can do or say anything and there will be no political consequences.

There are politicians that do not respect the voters who put them into office.

It will be a great day indeed, when they are thrown out on their asses.

1. The rise of instant video and social media has caught the politicians flatfooted..
They are used to telling one group one thing and another group the opposite thing and getting away with it, that's becoming progressively more difficult as the spread of online video makes their words of the past available to anyone who cares to hear those words.

3. And throw out the corporate media while you're at it
It's the media that keep spreading half truths and fraud that keep the public from seeing and understanding the harm actually being done by their own elected representatives and those who pay big $$$ to keep them in office.

I say it would be a great day in America if half the population turned off their sets, canceled their cable TV subscriptions and wrote to each advertiser explaining to them that they will not buy any more of their products until they put pressure on the corporate media to step conspiring with the lobbyists and politicians to put the public asleep and start telling the unvarnished truth. Newsrooms should be independent of the advertising dollar and ratings.
