About campaign financing..I've said it before and I'll say it
again. This problem would be quickly solved by only allowing contributions from a candidates constituents and no one else, period. I don't care if a candidate's parents live in another district and want to contribute to the campaign...it's a no-go.
A senator can only draw contributions from the state he/she represents, a representative only from the district he/she represents. A president can draw from the whole country because that's what he/she represents.
That would rein in corporate money and eliminate the question of whether it is foreign money or not. Eliminate all the pleas for donations from candidates from all over the country, because they could only ask for donations from their own constituents.

1. I think they ConCorps would get around this...
..by setting up addresses in every state.

They don't really care about local races. They can buy those favors directly.

What about going to public financing?

game the system will find a work around just like they always do.

3. It would make it harder for the wealthy elite to buy elections.
That alone makes it worthy of consideration. I'm for public financing too. Just about any change would be an improvement.

But the corrupt SCOTUS will shoot down anything that threatens the status quo. Free speech and all that, don'tcha know.
