Yesterday and today are what it feels like when nothing is being hyped
The hurricane is gone, and talk of it will fade rapidly. Everyone's already forgot the earthquake. No little blond-haired girls have gone missing. Mercifully neither the Congress or the Court is in session.

It feels sort of tranquil, doesn't it? This is what its like when the world of news/entertainment blinks, when they fail to find some matter that while utterly irrelevant to the lives of most of their consumers can still be blown so out of proportion that near panic ensues.

Like the beautiful days of spring and autumn, times like these don't come often, savor them.

3. There's a reason to shudder in fear..
I see what my family and neighbors watch sometimes, it's no surprise at all to me that the average person has a brain about as useful as tapioca pudding. ;)

I involuntarily caught about ten minutes of Batchelor Pad or something similarly named the other day and was just overwhelmed by the sheer inanity of it..

It would be an insult to froth to call that show froth.

5. The media is still out of breath from the weekend hurricane extravaganza
They should be back to form by tomorrow with the next scare, so enjoy today. Everything is in it's proper perspective for a little bit longer.
