Dallas police say boy dies after water denied
>>DALLAS (AP) — The father and stepmother of a 10-year-old who died last month were arrested Thursday after it was discovered the boy was denied water for five days as punishment, Dallas police said.

Police had initially thought the death of Johnathan James on July 25 could have been heat-related, but the Dallas County medical examiner has ruled that he died of dehydration.

Michael Ray James and Tina Alberson, both 42, remained in Dallas County jail Thursday after being arrested and charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury. Bond for each was $250,000. The jail website did not list attorneys for them.

"This occurred over the course of five days, July 20 to July 25," said Dallas Police Department Deputy Chief Craig Miller. "It was during this time, as a form of punishment, that the child was denied water, which (resulted) in the dehydration."<<

1. He died and they were charged with "injury to a child causing serious bodily injury"?
That sounds odd, even for Texas.

5. I thought that way when I was younger
but as I age I realize that there are some seriously sick people on this planet who believe their only role is to inflict as much pain and punishment as possible.

11. I cried when I read this the first time. he was on a court-mandated visit
and contacted his grandma soon after arriving to see if he could stay with her."They always hate me"
His twin brother was afraid to call police.

May they get prison justice.
That's all I'll say.
