No running, no hiding.
Back in the mid 1970s I was living in Virginia. We talked about the wisdom of building a nuclear plant at the North Anna location, given that the site was known to be on an active fault. Then Three-Mile-Island happened in '79. Shortly after that I relocated to northern California to be near family; turns out that Eureka has a nuclear power plant that was built on the northern tip of the San Andreas fault. It wasn't on line, a citizens group had successfully badgered the legislature to make that happen. In the early '80s I finally came home to Colorado. I now reside just a few miles down the road from the Fort St. Vrain nuclear plant, which got some very interesting scrutiny following Chernobyl. Next door in Nebraska there's a nuclear facility that's been in danger of flooding recently. Up north a bit, in Yellowstone, they're saying that the caldara is doing some very interesting stuff.

Good thing I have signs to make for tomorrow's counter-rally when Americans For Prosperity pulls into town with their "Running On Empty" tour. I'll just keep on doing what I can where I can. Otherwise, I might worry.
