House shook for about 20-30 seconds. I ran outside the minute I realized what it was.

Obviously it was felt over a large area. Don't know where the epicenter is.

DUers reporting feeling it in DC, NYC, Philly, NC(!) and other
places. Seems to have covered a lot of ground.

Animals sometimes warn us - I've heard that's why the Chinese kept so many crickets because when they suddenly went silent - hit the deck! I had a cat who slept through a couple. :7

Hope you're okay - I know it's scary.

6. It was freaky!
I had never felt one before and my whole house shook, noting that I am over 200 miles from the epicenter according to Google maps.

confused you feel while it's going on. So many WTF thoughts and possibilities crowding into your brain at the same time, plus your instinct to flee.

So far no reports of injuries or damage, thankfully.

I just posted that I've been in quakes where they didn't even feel it in the next zip code, so I'm :wow: at how wide spread this one seems to be!

Hang in there - literally! :hi:
