Movie: The Help -- designed to incite violence

Posted on Monday, August 22, 2011 9:05:46 PM by MeneMeneTekelUpharsin

This movie, "The Help" has been written, filmed and distributed with the sole purpose of inciting violence at a politically fragil time in this country. Yes, some of the events in the movie occurred, but it is nowhere representative of society as a whole.

As a matter of fact, the historical background of a lot of leading Democrats would tie directly to this film, but getting the general public to notice that at this time would be futile. Some unbelievably emotional scenes exist in this movie to denigrate white society to the fullest.

I can not believe the timing of the release of this film. The primary "evil" white woman character could very easily be a young Nancy Pelosi. Whoever has decided to release such a film at this time into a politically-charged environment bears a LOT of responsibility for the effects.

3. Nancy Pelosi, born and raised in San Francisco is soooo like Hilly, from Jackson?!! WTF?
How about Elizabeth Dole or some other southern born and bred woman? But no, they have to pick Nancy Pelosi as the model for Hilly?? Un-fucking-believable.

6. quibble. Nancy D'Alesandro Pelosi was born and raised in Baltimore
Her father was a congressman and mayor.

That doesn't negate your point that it is ridiculous to associate her with this movie, of course. (Hairspray, maybe) :rofl:

13. I can only guess about the movie,
but I've listened to it TWICE in Audible.com format and read it once in hard-cover. GREAT read/listen! Give it serious consideration.

8. My my she must of hit a nerve. I will tell you a story of a eye opener for me.
Edited on Mon Aug-22-11 08:38 PM by southernyankeebelle
My father was a career military. We were living on a military base in ElPaso, TX at the time. Well we were going back to the east coast and I will tell you it was a shock. We went through one southern state I will never ever forget. We stopped for gas and we got out to go to the bathroom and when we were coming back to the car there was this black man and his children drove up in a pickup truck. The children went over to get fountain water. I looked up and was shocked to see 2 water fountains. One for whites and the other for blacks. I looked at my father and asked him what was going on I didn't understand. You see I grew up around different people and never experienced hate because of someone skin color. I remember a classmate who was black and his dad was a colonel. Year later he contacted us and came over to visit us. It was nice to see him all grown up. We talked about our experiences since our dads retired. He said when his dad retired it was a shock to him also. We remained friends. Of course we lost touch because we moved around. I often think of him.

11. I drove by that wreck earlier--thanks for posting it.
Especially liked the comments. (post is at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2767579/posts)

This one stood out:

... "You can't have liberal friends. Stop it. Your friend wants to kill us. We don't like people who are friends with people who want to kill us. Stop providing succor to the enemy.

This is indicative of the mindset of the knuckledraggers. Also saw a post in there claiming "conservatives" stood up to fight for civil rights*, while Democrats were the racists.

Stunningly ignorant. In so many ways.

* {{cons were the racists}}
** {{cons were democrats back then}}

Of course, "truth" is whatever Fox Noise and their handlers tell them it is. No surprise there, but damn.
