1. Repugs have known this for MANY years; FDL probably 'learned' from them.

3. Fire Dog Lake wouldn't have anything to complain about if Democrats would stop selling out to
corporations, but I guess asking for a party to represent working people is just too much for people like you.

Cosmic Power, itty bitty influence.

LoCo, Is this flap about something in particular, or just on general hate-FDL principles?

15. Bruce Lee taught how to fight without fighting.
FDL taught how to be powerful thru irrelevance. Just pray they don't learn how to play chess.

9. The best strategy that can diminish Democratic support is Republican ideology
in the Democratic Party and they know it. That's why they can just refuse to go along to all the "bipartisanship" and get more of what they want. Piece of cake.

10. Republicans knew all they needed to know when they seen Bush The Idiots +90% approval rating
Think about that for a minute. Bush/Cheney policies had just driven the country into a recession and huge debt with his unpaid for tax cuts for his wealthy cronies after being left a surplus by the previous Democratic administration. And then followed that up with allowing 9/11 to happen on his watch while on he was on vacation cutting brush and our fellow Americans awarded him with a +90% approval rating. Jesus Christ on a trailer hitch.

At that particular moment in history the Republicans realized that more than 9 out of 10 people they see walking down any given street were susceptible to accepting as truth even their most outrageous lies and obfuscations. They realized that most Americans lacked even the most basic critical thinking skills. The Republicans were in pig heaven. I can remember them all smiling like the Cheshire Cat and wondering why back then? I know why now.

Unfortunately for us they haven't forgot that. :(

12. FDL are pikers. Check some of the so-called "Democrats" on this forum.
Particularly the ones who, with tears streaming down their faces, endorse the inevitability of a "Perry Presidency" to teach "us" a fucking lesson.

And that's just hunky dory.

I mean.... please.

13. So you're now equating being liberal with being Republican?
Alrighty then. That tells me that your political compass has been permanently disabled.

14. Your mistake is equating being a liberal to being an FDL denizen.

17. The republicans created the Operatives Attacking From The "left" strategy
As well as the Divide and Conquer Pot Stirring Strategy.

I don't believe FDL consciously engages in this, I believe they honestly believe what they write. (which I believe is ill-informed, and more anger/emotion driven rants rather than rational analysis)

On the other hand, Republican operatives are smart enough to know that they can use FDL to divide and conquer. I see them on TV promoting FDL's views as if they represent the views of all liberals/progressives.

And I have no doubt that the modern Republican rat-fuckers are pretending to be FDL enthusiasts when they post on internet boards or comments section.

Again I will state that my opinion is that FDL and FDL enthusiasts are sincere. Buf I believe Republicans are exploiting that as part of their large effort to Divide and Conquer.

19. Rip Van Winkle

Once again, you have squarely put the cart before the horse.

Look to our leadership for the blame, not those of us who are disaffected and disenfranchised by their horrendous behavior.

22. The media pushes 1 core message (Obama Bad) with two opposire framings ...
a right wing framing, and a left wing framing.

And it doesn't matter whether one internalizes the right wing version of the "Obama Bad" message, or the left wing version of the "Obama bad" message... just so long as you internalize the "Obama Bad" message.

24. No one in the real world gives a fuck about FDL, yet a handful of DUers seem to think
that FDL and Hamsher are picking up where the Third Reich left off or some shit....uh, even though they're irrelevant. If they're so irrelevant, why do you guys keep posting about them? I never heard of FDL until you guys started moaning about them; if anything, your breathelss denunciations of FDL have made me curious to check them out. In other words, I think the constant drumbeat of "FireDog Lake Must Be Stopped!!!" only leads to a backlash against foaming-at-the-mouth centrists.
