How many American politicians would ever admit to something like that and still be able to get elected?

Not to mention the fact that I have NO money, no college degree and I like my privacy. Plus, ALL the stuff that I've written on DU over the years… Imagine having that kind of baggage to contend with.

I wonder who the first candidate is going to be who gets trapped in THAT predicament? The net, Facebook & twitter have been wound long enough now for some younger, people to have posted some very daamaging stuff before they ever considered becomong a politician. The day is coming! I'm sure of it!

I am reluctant to accept that much responsibility

I couldn't stand all that shmoozing and groveling for money.
Sometimes I can't keep a civil tongue in my head - I'd say things that are not exactly diplomatic.
I'm an agnostic, and I'm divorced and have no kids.
I like being obscure; I'd hate having media people breathing down my neck.
My feelings are easily hurt - mean political cartoons would make me cry.
My misspent youth could come back to haunt me.
