1. Not sure what more they could do to the nation in Session,
than they have already acheived?

2. what do you think they would accomplish?
The GOP hasn't accomplished a hellava lot since taking over the house. And the Senate all they have accomplished is to obstruct anything and everything. Oh yeah the Tea Party has accomplished the destruction of the good name and credit of this country.

Maybe we should be thankful for small favors, the bastids aren't in town to rain even more destruction.

5. The Senate should adjourn so Obama could make his recess appointments.
IMO, we are better off with them out of town right now. The bickering will resume soon enough.

6. But they worked so hard. Poor little dears are all tired out from making everything just right
for the banksters, wall street and the cornered wealth.

8. All out raising money
The weeping boner is going to be in Minnesota next week playing golf
Sponsored by the four republican house members of Congress.

For $10,000 one could play with the weeping boner
Only $1000 if all you want to do is eat with him

14. Reminds me of that old salty quote
Edited on Thu Aug-11-11 12:41 AM by chill_wind
"No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the congress is in session."
-Mark Twain- (1866)

For once, I think MOST of the country is beginning to feel this way at the moment.

15. They should be working - period !
Had some free time yesterday and turned on the boob-tube. Surfing through I see a show about custom cars being made.
The owner of the company FIRED an employee because they had so many jobs to finish and one particular one was in
trouble of meeting it's deadline. They had a meeting and it came down to why. The answer, the lead guy wasn't working more
than a few hours a day and put in no overtime though he knew it was urgent. So they fired him.

These guys in congress may not work more than half a year and get all those perks like insider trading to put their money
in offshore havens, get health coverage and work for US. With the state of things in this country, I want them working overtime !
But as always, it's on the people to do all the work.
