Scott Walker says he thinks voters showed they want more bipartisanship from their elected leaders even though his Republican Party maintained its control of the state Senate by winning four of six recall elections.
Walker told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he believes no matter which party is in control voters want lawmakers to work together on jobs and the economy.
Democrats say they intend to move ahead with attempts to recall Walker from office next year.
Walker says he will “leave it up to the pundits” to decide whether Tuesday’s Republican victories take the wind out of efforts to recall him. But he says ultimately he will be judged on how many jobs are created in the state.
