And while the MSM failed to report it the President SHOULD HAVE SAID IT ON NATIONAL TV FOR THE WORLD TO HEAR. Instead, he fights S&P instead of fighting Boehner.

I continue to shake my head in disbelief at how this man refuses to fight for America but for the corporate interests and Wall Street.

Because when someone's trying to destroy you, you do everything you can to help that person succeed.

4. you know,
i worked this guys campaign, donated to it, and of course, voted for him. now i wonder, WHO IN THE FUCK DID I DO THIS FOR? This guy never ceases to amaze me with some of his decisions. it is almost like he was a covert gop operative all along, and pulled it off. he totally fucks up my mind with his rationale.

5. Again and again I'll say it....
People on here and connected to the White House and other arms of the Democratic party keep putting more and more of the onus on us the people to make the cases for liberal efforts and Democratic reforms, but then their own words (or lack thereof) and actions (or inactions) directly counter the message that they "supposedly" want to send and "supposedly" are fighting for (behind closed doors of course).

7. The messages have been mixed...
Initially, they were pushing the idea that S&P lacked credibility and thus, should not be taken too seriously. I suspect they were more concerned with discrediting S&P than anything else, for S&P had said the downgrade would not have occurred if the Cut, Cap and Balance legislation passed by the House had been enacted.

9. That's what I understood
but it hasn't been repeated and somehow that argument has lost credibility.

11. Link please.
No where in the S & P report did I see anything about the cut,cap and balance bill even mentioned. I did see in the last paragraph - the conclusion that the Republican party will not consider new revenues and that they don't believe the Republicans will allow the bush tax cuts to expire and therefore those were the main reasons. It was laid squarely at the feet of the repubs in Congress.

18. It's the Tea Party's fault...No, it's Obama's fault...Are you really buying any of this...?
For this blame game is so simplistic and obvious in nature that it is beyond my realm of comprehension how anyone could.

After all, the TP and Obama are just the latest arrivals at a very large party that began along time ago.

Do you think members of the House and the Senate who got to the party first are going to be able to skate by under the radar and watch safely as all of the blame lands everywhere but on them?

Ultimately, I think history will blame Obama, for Presidents always take the blame...or in the case of something good, the credit. It's the same thing with deficits...even though not one single President has ever spent a dime. Regrettably, history is often misreported.

8. He is waiting until the next debate with the super thingy
Cantor will again propose no new taxes and we will read the S&P doc into the congressional record and demand tax increases...maybe even retroactive taxes for the 1%. It is in this context that the blame is best laid on the RatFinks.

My friends need to calm down and pull there heads out. Obama is way ahead.

12. That was my first thought when I read that they had blamed the
repugs: our side will never dare say it aloud. It's not just Obama. I do blame him, but my expectations are so low now. All Dems should be screaming this. The sad fact is that the vast majority of our side does not want to fight. And I don't really care about their "reasons" anymore.
