Here in Canada I was billed zero. That's zero with a zed. I wish America could have this. Socialized medicine, they'll have to pry it from our cold dead hands.

3. I truly do wish it for America. The world for that matter.
Things are tough at work right now,and I don't know how I could have paid for this.

2. Yeah I bless the day I came to Canada in 1969
as a refugee from the USA.

My Son and husband both were diagnosed with cancer two months apart. They both got surgery , my son had 3 brain surgeries, my husband had stem cell transplant, both had chemo and radiation and both had palliative care and my son was in intensive care for 6 weeks.

The cost for each of them ZERO.

7. THe right eye is great (it was done in June).
The left eye is really blurry and sore (glad I learned how to type in high school.) The right eye has near 20/20 vision, but I need reading glasses.

9. That is so great to hear, Swede! How long is recovery?
I'm having a hard time driving during a cloudy day. Hate to think what surgery here will cost.

Best wishes for full and quick recovery.

13. Timings off, but you have part of the costume for:
Sept. 19th - http://talklikeapirate.com/piratehome.html

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Is your vision going to be pretty clear again in this eye? It sounds as if your healed eye is doing great, even with reading glasses.

8. Hey! Join the Bionic Club
Had both my eyes done in 2000. Was previously so near sighted I couldn't even see the bedside clock.
After the surgery I had 20/20 vision, threw away my coke bottle glasses and started a whole different track in life.

May everything in your world be bright and shiny from this day on!

12. It's not meant to be that way.
My hopes for socialized medicine in the USA are sincere.
