Gay Republican presidential candidate: I qualify for Ames debate; Fox News says no
Fred Karger, a gay Republican who is running for president, notified Fox News this afternoon that he has met their threshold and should be included in an Ames debate next week.

Michael Clemente, vice president of news for the network, said Karger doesn’t qualify.

The Fox News Debate is Aug. 11 in Ames. Karger, of California, says he now meets all the criteria as highlighted in his letter today:
