I don't know why I shouldn't think that Obama and Reid got as much as they thought they could.

1. Depends on what they were trying to get.
When I can't determine that, I can't judge anything except whether the legislation or position is bad from my standpoint. I'm not one that operates on blind faith on any matter.

4. WHy? Just because......
.....haven't you read what the Obama bashers are writing? What are you, some kind of Obama supporter or something? Do we even allow that here?

If you think Obama and Reid are on our side, you must be one of those (gulp) democrats!

5. Because they failed to frame the argument from the start of this mess
The leader of the free world, the most powerful politician in the world, ought to be able to frame the terms of a discussion.

8. I'm beginning to think that the president got the outcome he wanted
His reputation for giving in so early is something he's earned.

Since I'm going on 65 next month, he's just too far to the right for my personal well being.

6. 'as they thought they could'
Lack of vision can be a true flaw in a leadership role. As can a lack of confidence and courage. Playing it safe never created greatness. Not even once.
