Pamela Geller BUSTED scrubbing violent rhetoric from Norway from her website
Pamela Geller Edits Post to Conceal Violent Rhetoric in 'Email from Norway'

I've excerpted a lot from this post according to DU rules. Go to the link and see all the screenshots...

http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/38949_Pamela_Geller_Edits_Post_to_Conceal_Violent_Rhetoric_in_Email_from_Norway

In June 2007, “counter-jihad” blogger Pamela Geller posted the following Email from Norway, from a reader who sounds a lot like the Oslo terrorist, Anders Behring Breivik.

(...)

But Pamela Geller’s guilty conscience is showing again, because as a matter of fact, she edited her post very recently to take out the most incriminating line. The Internet Archive has a copy of the original:

As you can see, the line Geller edited out is:

We are stockpiling and caching weapons, ammunition and equipment. This is going to happen fast.

Google’s cache also has a copy of Geller’s page, captured on June 30, 2011 — and the line about “stockpiling weapons” was still there at that time.

1. Interesting
I wonder if the Norwegian authorities might want to have a conversation with Geller...to see what she knew and when she knew it?

9. Yes, things have changed
LGF is actually a good resource these days for keeping track on the excesses of the right on both sides of the Atlantic, the "counter jihad" movement, etc.

6. It used to be, until the site changed its orientation
From wiki:

Media observers in the United States long described the site as "right wing",<2> but since 2007, the site's emphasis has changed, such that "LGF has become better known for the various fights it picks with many on the right."<3>

Johnson stated in 2006:

I'm not pretending I'm giving equal time to both sides. But I do think what I'm advocating, and what I believe in, is the right side.<4>

More recently, in 2009, he has claimed that:

I don’t think there is an anti-jihadist movement anymore... It’s all a bunch of kooks. I’ve watched some people who I thought were reputable, and who I trusted, hook up with racists and Nazis. I see a lot of them promoting stories and causes that I think are completely nuts.<3>

...

Parting ways with the Right

On November 30, 2009, Johnson blogged that he was disassociating himself with "the right", claiming that "The American right wing has gone off the rails, into the bushes, and off the cliff. I won’t be going over the cliff with them."

10. And get this: Geller got her blogging start at LGF

It seems odd, given their mutually antagonistic relationship now, but Geller "got her start as a frequent commenter" at Johnson's Little Green Footballs. She launched her blog, Atlas Shrugs, in 2005. Her first big uptick in traffic came in early 2006, when she published controversial Danish cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. It continued to spike "whenever she took on hot-button issues," The Times says.

12. That's not something I'd ever imagined.
A lot of the posters over there used to troll here on DU. They were some of the worst of the worst of our disruptors. A nasty group of individuals who knew how to lead posters here around by their nose for quite some time before they dropped their bomb. More than a few real DUers fell prey to their rhetoric, defended their ruse and were TSd for their foolishness. :(

...than not. He's a huge climate change guy for instance, all the teabaggers that loved him lost their minds when he came out with that position.

14. There were Jews who would have been Nazis if they'd been allowed
No group is exempt from the desire to stomp other people into the ground, as long as they're among the stompers. It takes a special kind of courage to be against all bullies, everywhere, even if they seem to be on your side.

17. Leo Strauss for one.
The father of neoconservatism had to flee Hitler's Germany because he was Jewish. He then spent the rest of his life inventing, developing and teaching a system of political "thought" that is, at its core, Nazism shorn of its anti-Semitism.

13. Pamela Geller is not so different that Palin with her violent rhetoric,
Especially when that violent rhetoric begets actions. Suddenly there isa re-write. Words have consequences, and it's about bloody time they learned that.

Yet it appears that Breivik is not connected to any known Norwegian group. Rather, to judge from the 1,500-page manifesto he posted online prior to the attacks, Breivik seems to have drawn inspiration from so-called “counter-jihadist” thinkers, many of them in the United States, including Pamela Geller. Indeed, Geller is cited a number of times in the manifesto, for instance on describing drug trafficking as a “chemical jihad.” So is her close ally Robert Spencer, the director of Jihad Watch, a U.S. organization that aims to provoke “continuous and increasing outcry” over the dangers posed by Islam.
......
In the wake of the attacks, Fjordman, Geller, and other prominent counter-jihadists have condemned Breivik’s actions and argued that they have never condoned violence. However, their dystopian fantasy world -- in which the white Christian martyrs of Eurabia are constantly subjected to rape and murder at the hands of bloodthirsty Muslims -- clearly provided what former CIA officer Marc Sageman has described in The New York Times as “the infrastructure from which Breivik emerged.”
