4. Isn't it funny....
...how for once the DEMOCRATS are united while the Republicans scramble trying to keep their rank-n-file in line, trying to count heads and see if they have 218 votes? It's so often the other way around!

6. MSNBC commentator said if it doesn't take place around the
scheduled time, or if it's "blue screened" (not sure what that means) that will indicate Boehner/Repubs are concerned they might not have the votes.

I'm on the edge of my seat, although regardless of the outcome, I'll still be clueless as to what will happen next.

At the moment, they're still yammering on the floor of the House, getting their statements in the record.

8. blue screened I'm guessing...
= reporter lingo for "Duck's Off"--

(comes from an old Fawlty Towers episode where the hungry diners never get the duck, after Basil's endless promises and excuses and diversions.)

12. And
we DO need smiles...living in what seems like a national Fawlty Towers (wish it was a comedy).

16. No prob
...Basil Fawlty, one of my favorite characters in British comedy. Also liked Hyacinth, but something about her was a little too close to my relatives...kinda gave me the creeps at times...

14. It's later now, and beginning to sound like "Plan? What plan?"
There was never a plan! It's those partisan Democrats who are monkey-wrenching this! They won't let us funnel the last coins in the Treasury into our wealthy benefactors' pockets. Waaaahhh!

And the media chuckleheads just nod and write their little notes, never for a moment saying or even thinking, "But just this afternoon you were saying . . ."
