No Cancer Coverage For 9/11 Responders

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Workers who were involved in the response to the World Trade Center attack will not have their cancer treatments compensated under a program set up after 9/11, according to a controversial decision released Tuesday by the World Trade Center Health Program.

There is inadequate "published scientific and medical findings" that a causal link exists between September 11, 2001, exposures and the occurrence of cancer in responders and survivors, program administrator John Howard said in a statement.

The decision forms part of the first periodic review of what the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act will provide.

Following a lengthy, contentious battle, President Barack Obama signed the $4.2 billion legislation in January to provide health care for those who helped clear the rubble and search for human remains at the World Trade Center site in New York. ........(more)

3. Remember 9/11/2001 always, just ask john the dickweed howard
and the rest of the fuckers that don't want to pay for anything related to the invisible people that became heros and ended up with diseases that caused them to lose everything they had,.

and funnily enough, we're coming up on the 10th aniversary of that terrorist attack, how many people want to bet they'll be speechifying out the bunghole about how heroic their actions were.

I wonder what "howard" rhymes with? Anybody got an idea?

5. Emergency workers across the US should either go on strike of work to rule.
This decision should be overturned. It's beyond the pale.
