3. The website you link to also has a script that runs from a place called "hitsniffer.com" which...

...allows you to intimately track the locations, IP addresses and so on of individual visitors to your page. Including the ability to uniquely tag visitors with a certain username and other information to track them, even individually.

Why is that?

Everyone should take a look at the features page of the script that medeak is directing us to click on and visit, along with their website. We don't normally know we're being tagged and traced so carefully, but I run NoScript for Firefox and caught it.

Note the sections titled:
Visitor Identity
Entry/Exit Page Reporting
Data is King, Detailed Visitors Information
Live Map
Invisible Counters

I should think not even the administrators slice and dice users' personal location & identity as much as hitsniffer does- which is why hitsniffer is also a pay service.

I wonder which level of membership sniffing DUers rates? 10,000? 20,000? More?

It's the only other script running on that page, too.

Am so scared re the haters here. Because of them so many didn't show up in last election and look what happened....tea baggers elected and impossible to do anything in congress. Can you imagine what we will be left with if no one gets motivated in this next election? Was tired and didn't want to be involved in politics again but hearing from young people they are disillusioned and not voting am TERRIFIED! What will happen with Bachman or Romney? PLEASE WAKE UP !

and that is the JOB of the ones that are seeking election/re-election.
Whatever I say or do on a message board isn't going to change that.

Oh yeah...poliholics are going to vote. But...I think their time and treasure are going to be much curtailed and while these crooks can get their money elsewhere, they might miss the shoe leather.

They need to remember WHO they work for.

21. If you run Firefox, you should install a free addon called "NoScript". It is invaluable in...

...helping to watch what sites are running scripts on the page you're visiting. It's very, very handy. I visit MANY links from DU and this one is the first in months that had this kind of sketchy shit attached to it.
