No Evidence of Voting Machine Altering Elections
Edited on Wed Jul-20-11 10:39 AM by BeFree
People get all worked up over the fact that 80% of America's votes are counted in private by one company.

So what? They are just part of our capitalist system and deserve a profit!

And they are upset because the machines used to count votes are known to make monumental errors, are prone to being "listened too", and are made overseas.

So what? They count faster and to fix mistakes you just click, click and go back.....

These people keep pointing out that many computer experts claim it is NOT a good idea to use computers to count votes. The experts say the machines are too insecure. Then they go on to say that several experts have easily hacked voting machines and altered votes and then closed the program leaving no trail of their actions.

So what? These are experts and people working at the companies that program the machines are experts too, and they wouldn't steal any votes!!

Besides, it's not like the vote really means much. And all politicians are the same. But one thing we can count on is: politicians would never allow crooks to alter elections.

No worries, mate!

5. Velcome, Comrade Trotsky !!
Can you believe Stalin damn near destroyed confidence in modern voting when he is said to have claimed:

"It isn't who votes that counts, it is who counts the votes that makes all the difference."

How dare he make people think it's all a conspiracy. Hey!! We finally have a scapegoat!! >>Stalin.

4. This newsflash brought to you by Rupert Murdoch
America's voting procedures are not newsworthy.

Go about your business, and let the computers take care of everything!

7. If Fox ever covered this
Then we would know it was bull crap. But since no one has ever seen any of those conspiracy nuts on Fox, we know we have nothing to worry about. Stay of my Fox!

Our elections have to be completely fair, or why would people even vote? I mean, over half the people already don't vote.

So, the question is, isn't it? Why don't over half of people vote?
The CTs say: Because they don't think it matters.

And I think it makes a huge difference. Especially with the modern counters.
See, the bigger the numbers of votes to be counted, the harder it is for the machines to make fudge.

When there are fewer numbers in the fudge bowl it is easier to mix things up.

8. Eh?
If I remember incorrectly the Democrats raised holy hell when the 2000 election was stole.

And they all voted against putting $4 billion dollars into buying the overseas made machines and putting one or two or three in every precinct from sea to shining sea. That was right after 9/11 when the democrats were running bravely.

Then when their majorities shrunk to dwarf like statures in DC, they boldly suggested that Kerry lost fair and square.

Democrats are not like other politicians. Saying so is communism!

You commies just don't get that we are capitalists and $$ comes first!

"He who has the gold, RULES"... and the poor peoples drools.

9. So why hasn't the Obama DoJ enforced its order for ES&S to diversify?
Let's look at the authors of the Help America Vote Act:

Rep. Bob Ney, who was convicted of bribery and corruption for deals with Jack Abramoff and sentenced to 30 months in prison

Rep. Tom DeLay, who was convicted of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering to get repub candidates elected, and received a sentence of three years in prison (See also DeLay's ties to Abramoff.)

Sen. Chuck Hagel, who had business and financial ties with ES&S, the company that currently has a monopoly on vote-counting in the US

And remember Sen Chris Dodd?

Dodd was apparently under the impression that being a "Friend of Angelo" Mozilo and writing the bill that would allow a privately-owned, highly partisan corporation to use secret, proprietary software to count our votes was enough to endear him to the Powers That Be.

It was not. He did worse than Kucinich.

Now, given all of the above, and the fact that every time an "anomaly" occurs with these electronic voting machines it benefits Republicans, why has the Obama administration not enforced its order for ES&S to diversify?

Why do you think that is?

10. Facts? Is that all you got?
Edited on Wed Jul-20-11 10:58 AM by BeFree
You don't provide links. Yeah, people who have been paying attention all these years know all those "Facts" and don't need links, but other people don't want to be bothered. Why shove this in their faces?

Be careful of what you say and who you say it too.... someone will come along and say since Obama is ignoring your "Facts" that he is setting himself up to control the machines and turn America black.

Y'know... a Black and blue America is a real purty picture. Thank you!

12. Prove it!
This is a rope-a-dope strategy of 11th dimensional chess which professional far leftists, long overdue for drug testing, are incapable of understanding due to their myopic views and incessant demands for special interest ponies.

11. The masses are too stupid to run government. Only the elite can prevent chaos.
The vote count must be controlled, or democracy could result.

All hell would break loose.

Leo Strauss' Philosophy of Deception
Many neoconservatives like Paul Wolfowitz are disciples of a philosopher who believed that the elite should use deception, religious fervor and perpetual war to control the ignorant masses.

13. Yes!!
That's exactly why we are letting them control the vote. No more little old ladies making sure all the votes are counted correctly, like we used to, it is now in the hands of an elite corporation that really has no competition. The New American way!
