Really, no representative democracy anymore
Large majorities favor raising taxes on the rich
Large majorities favor no cuts to Social Security and Medicare
Significant majorities want the wars to be reduced/ended.

Yet we get the opposite, and it is hailed as a bipartisan solution.

2. Oh come on
There's plenty of representation in our government. Why, the wealthy alone have over 300 Representatives and nearly 100 Senators, as well as several Supreme Court Justices and a permanent presence in the Executive Branch.

Oh, were you talking about the other 95% of us? Well, yeah; we're kinda screwed.

3. it IS bipartisan....
It's just that neither of the parties represent us any longer, unless "us" means the MIC and the wealthy. It's the new Guilded Age, don't ya know? Now shut up and work, eat your peas when you're told, and shop patriotically, citizen!

4. and we get constantly insulted by partisan hacks who chose to be blind
and not recognize anything you and I share with others. It's what happens in a country that's fully corrupted.

6. This whole process stinks to high heaven. It is a theft, pure and simple.
A ginned-up "emergency." Closed door sessions to craft major legislation to fundamentally alter bedrock social programs. All to be done within a couple of weeks, behind closed doors, where the American people cannot watch or participate.

Then they emerge at "deadline," and shove it through on an "emergency basis."

Our Democracy has been hijacked. We have been taken.

And our "Democratic" President is a willing participant.

11. Theft
Is exactly what it is. And here we sit with a majority of our population dumbed down , misnformed, brainwashed, apathetic... take your pick, mix and match, I don't know if enough people will see it for what it is, and even if they did... I doubt we as a nation have the stomach, the collective courage to do what needs to be done... We are screwed :(

8. that's not what they said on rightwing radio today
it was totally flip flopped. Like the average joe without a job thinks the guy buying a 65 ft mega yacht should have an easier time of it and granny is willing to just sit at home and die without any assistance from the government, specially meals on wheels.

our country is nucking futz, in plain view anymore.

12. Yep. The pretense has ALL gone
Get used to it and then die. Earlier than you would have. Or fight back. Choose.
