Why we need each other..

These are tough times. Very rough for most of us, and for our political beliefs. While we do go after each other from time to time,
often for what seems to be good reasons, we need each other more. We need a safe place to go and discuss where we are and where we are going. We need to support our beliefs and values because we know they are correct and fair. They are the core values on what this country was in founded on. Fairness, opportunity, justice, freedom,caring for others, and equal opportunity. Sure they got some of it wrong. The slavery compromise as well as others parts. But if the founding fathers could all come back, who would most of them sit at the table with, The PUKES or us at DU. (I'd add Lincoln to that table as well, if you dont mind}

I come here for lots of reasons...but mostly it is to debate in the town square with those who may not see eye to eye with me and my idealistic and somewhat naieve concepts
i learn, i am informed, and sometimes, i am even uplifted

4. I forgot to add that coming to DU helps to keep me informed.

So many people search for different reliable sources here. Many of those sources are those I would never think of looking into, or couldn't have the time to loook into. That is another reason why we need each other. We help to inform each other.
