Palin quits AGAIN!!! Trip to Sudan w/ Franklin Graham & Greta Von Xenu is CANCELED!

Sarah Palin has uncanceled her bus tour. Not only is it back on, but we are all supposed to believe that she never canceled it to begin with, she just went back home for weeks without telling anyone anything about when her bus tour would be resuming. Because of jury duty? (Gov. Palin: You can defer jury duty, if you're out of town on an important bus tour designed to restore America!)

Palin, of course, is still not saying when her magical mystery tour will start back up, because she probably hasn't decided yet, because she's an undisciplined flake who is just stringing along her incredibly devoted followers and resentfully trolling the media. Still: Not canceled, lamestream media! Just indefinitely postponed without notice.

But one thing that is definitely canceled is her trip to Sudan with evangelical preacher Franklin Graham and top Scientologist Greta van Susteren. Why was that going to happen in the first place? I mean, I know our huckster-led American evangelical community sees a lot of "growth potential" in the devastated North African country, but of what possible use to anyone there is Sarah Palin, flaky former governor and failed vice presidential candidate?

Palin had to cancel on Sudan because of "scheduling issues." She is incredibly busy hanging out at home not conducting a bus tour.

11. It's become a dare, that's all. "Who blinks first."
The minute someone in a position of high visibility...a politician, a member of her beloved "lamestream media" holds her feet to the fire and does not back down when she starts her "counterattack," it will be all over.

She wins every single battle she gets into because everyone...E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E...lets her get away with it, because she ALWAYS has to have the last word, and since most people realize the way to get her to shut the hell up...until the NEXT time...is to let her HAVE the last word, they let her have the last word.

Then she shuts up.

Till the next time.

4. Scheduling issues?
That's one Hell of a jury summons.

Sarah Palin says jury duty comes before bus tour

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said on Wednesday she was pausing her "One Nation" bus tour to answer the call of jury duty and denied media reports her much-hyped multi-state jaunt had been cut short.

"The next leg of the tour continues when the time comes," she said in a message posted on Facebook. "In the meantime, no one should jump to conclusions -- certainly not the media with their long track record of getting things wrong or just making things up."

The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee has hinted she may run for president in 2012, and many have viewed her bus tour as a possible campaign warm-up should Palin ever declare herself a White House candidate.

Palin kicked off her tour over the Memorial Day holiday weekend and visited a number of historic sites along the East Coast.

8. I call BS..Was she chosen for a jury or merely summoned for possible jury duty? There is a differene
Edited on Thu Jun-23-11 10:57 PM by HipChick
Sounds like she was just summoned

She's too controversial to be put on a jury..I'm pretty sure she'll get booted on that ground alone
People believe anything..she would have got this weeks in advance...she and her aides must be the worst organizers...

16. Yep. No lawyer is going to accept someone who's opinions
are as well known as hers. I'm not buying the jury duty crap. It should be easy enough for journalists in Alaska to find out.

10. Nope. Nobody's gonna see her as quitting. "Jury duty" is something everyone understands
and Palin going home to do her duty will be (should be) seen as a good thing. Yep, it's a convenient excuse to end the bus tour that was beginning to dwindle in media importance...

But I'm actually shocked at her media savvy on this. Prioritizing jury duty is kinda like a guilt trip: you know you don't wanna do it, you try to squirm out of it. SP actually proudly proclaiming she's stopping her "family vacation" (cough, I know, it's all a lie but still) to go for jury duty??! Incredible. Her political and media savvy on how to break away from her flagging bus tour is nothing short of genius. Akin to a politician saying they are going to give blood when they visit a disaster site....

I hate her with the force of a thousand suns. But she's got political skills. Her cult will eat this up.

12. Skills? haha. She has no skills. She just says any stupid thing she wants to and NOBODY in the media
challenges it.

Just like her stupid Paul Revere answer. All the reporter asked her is what she saw and what she took away from it and she gave her ignorant answer, then explained it away as a "gotcha question".

Nobody challenged her on that. Nobody.

She has no skills, she has no strategy, she's not a genius marketer etc.
She's an ignoramus who says stupid things and the media pretends she's halfway intelligent.

It's like a Chauncy the Gardener situation.

15. Jerking The Media Around
watching them hover around this flake is kinda amusing.
Maybe next time her road and pony show gears up, they won't be so eager to kiss her ass.
