3. I didn't have one. Obama should be able to pick someone he is comfortable with.
But, when he does populate his administration with people whose whole career is so athwart the good of most Americans, it is time to object. There are plenty of experienced, talented people to draw from that aren't members of the oligarchy.

All dead, though.

Of course, that could be a plus. It's hard to buy a dead guy.

22. I very much prefer
Senator Sanders just where he is. The President's Chief of Staff cannot introduce legislation or argue for/against legislation. Why in the world would you want Senator Sanders to be demoted to Chief of Staff????? Give me a break!

30. I'll tell you why
Not to in any way suggest he hasn't had accomplishments as a senator, but as one of a very few people in the senate who puts people before corporations, he's not going to change any minds there.
He'd be more effective as a c.o.s. because as the "gatekeeper", he will see to it that cooporations and bankers are not the only ones with a seat at the table. This is an area that we have a big problem, obviously, and it doesn't take a 60 vote majority to curtail corruption in the capacity that he could as cos.

31. Oh good grief!
Take one of the more liberal Senators, with a very good record of accomplishment, and demote him to Chief of Staff.

I learned this today. Seems appropriate here: WABOBS

33. When he spoke for 9 hours straight last month to an empty room but kept...
addressing "Mr President" (the president of the senate), you mean to tell me you didn't wish he was addressing that speech directly to the Potus?
If Bernie Sanders was COS, over the past 2 years, we'd have our stinkin public option. Or probably much better.

that is in the best interests of vermonteers (is that what you are called!?)
