I'm fucking nuts
Edited on Thu Jun-16-11 04:42 PM by salinen
- Humans cannot cause a change in climate. This is a plot by the environmentalists and scientists.
- Homosexuality is a choice. This is a part of the "gay agenda" to make us all gay.
- Government is our only problem. They're only function is to redistribute wealth.
- All Muslims are Radical. All billion of um.
- Mexicans are out breeding us. Whites need to have more babies.
- The Liberal Media. Paid for by Soros.
- The President is from Kenya. Or Pakistan, or some stan.
- Unions destroyed our industry. They don't deserve health care or pensions.
- Poor people are drug addicts. They only use food stamps to buy heroin.
- There is a war on christianity. They hate our morality.
- Taxes are too high on the rich. Raise taxes on the poor.

Sounds like all the republican candidates are with me.

1. It just seems so unreal to have it set out like this
but this is what they believe. And apparently all the right wing spew heads do as well. And very many elected pubs. And a certain small portion of the public. It just makes me sick, physically ill.

7. Rec'd to cancel you out. Where is the exaggeration,
as well as the oversimplification or generalization. Speaking of oversimplification, you didn't give many details either.

11. excuse me?
That is indeed the attitude of most far right repubs that I know. And certainly the attitude of the R pres candidates.

Edited on Thu Jun-16-11 05:25 PM by True Earthling
It makes no sense to demonize repubs with half-truths and exaggerations. Dems condemn the repubs who use the same tactics. Why is it tolerated, defended and encouraged here?

Listen more carefully and you will find there is no half-truth
or exaggeration in the OP. Sadly, this is about all they have been saying.

19. Repubs have a way of distorting facts to promote their agenda...
but I don't believe they are ALL racist or they ALL believe climate change is a plot... Mitt Romney's stance is climate change is man-made. Romney just received an endorsement from Al Gore....

23. There might be a better site than DU to promote
Mitt.

some posts here are wonky, well-thought out and full of policy discussion. Some are not. You can choose which post you want to reply to. I don't think DU'ers have to change to suit what you think is appropriate for a discussion board.

The repubs that are actively involved in pres candidate selection tend to be of the crazy ass type. That is not in dispute and actively being discussed in R circles, as the fear a far right leaning candidate will not be able to sway independents.

24. You're right... nobody has to change...including me.
People can keep posting exaggerations and half-truths and I will continue to point them out. I mentioned MR to refute a half-truth in the OP, it was not a promotion.
