Face it, Congress moves slow as molasses when there aren't bright, shiny things distracting them,
But with the Weiner debacle now taking precedence above everything else, Congress is unable to turn away from the trainwreck that is Weiner.

Out here in the real world, we simply don't have time for Congress to be distracted. People are suffering, dying because of this economic mess, and it would be nice to see Congress at least looking like they're paying attention.

Weiner has got to go, period. He has become too much of a distraction, right or wrong, that is the simple fact of the matter. The morality of what he did isn't an issue. It is simply the fact that Congress has got to renew its glacier pace of change rather than sitting fixated looking at Weiner's wiener.

Things are far too serious for us to indulge in these diversions. Get Weiner out of there and move on. It's that simple.

1. TARP: Proposed on Sept 19, 2008, enacted Oct 3, 2008
When the real bosses want something Congress can snap right out of that lethargy..

2. True, but how often does that happen?
I would rather have Congress moving forward, even at a snail's pace, that staring, fixated by the trainwreck that is Weiner.

3. How often does Congress spend vast sums of money with little or no debate?
I believe we are currently engaged in three wars, luckily I suppose only two of them are land wars in Asia.

I don't recall any great Congressional meltdown over paying as much as the rest of the world combined for military readiness.
