Rollins begins Bachmann campaign by blasting Palin.

Michelle Bachmann's new top consultant, Ed Rollins, began his tenure with scathing criticism of potential Bachmann rival Sarah Palin.

"Sarah has not been serious over the last couple of years," Rollins told Brian Kilmeade on his radio show, Kilmeade and friends. "She got the Vice Presidential thing handed to her, she didn't go to work in the sense of trying to gain more substance, she gave up her governorship."

He suggested that the contrast would favor Bachmann.

"Michele Bachmann and others worked hard, she has been a leader of the Tea Party which is a very important element here, she has been an attorney, she has done important things with family values."

8. Funny, I was just reading a freeper thread about this. They are ready to throw Bachmann

under the bus, already. Palin > Bachmann to them apparently. I think it's actually Palin uber alles.

ANY attack on the immaculate one will be met with a hysterical reaction. Sarah is going to kill the Republicans in this primary if she stays in, precisely because of this. Her supporters are die-hard worshipers who will turn out in droves for the primaries. Her opponents will be forced to attack her but any attack on her will provoke vitriolic hatred from these nuts.

She will be hard to beat in the primaries and toast in the general election and her reverse-coattails could turn this into a landslide in Congress as well.

I understood the hoopla in the midst of McCain's dismal campaign, but two years on with time to reflect, I simply don't understand it. Is it a personality cult, or is there some convoluted substance to her support?

15. Seems to me they are projecting, each one of them, their own ideal candidate on her, thinking

that she holds the exact same conservative beliefs that each of them have. It's easy to do that really since she has no national experience or ever had to make a tough decision in her life. She never really takes any stand except when it's against something. So she's perfect to them right now.
