Steve Cohen? I for one think he is a good representative and probably the most progressive person to ever come out of Tennessee. It seems that because his skin color is wrong, he keeps getting primaried. If we are in a post-racial society, then it wouldn't matter if he was green, brown, black, yellow etc. You don't see whites trying to primary Emmanuel Cleaver because he represents a 69 percent white district.

You may be thinking of Jim Cooper, Nashville's representative. He's definitely a Blue Dog, but not Cohen. I believe I'm right when I say that Cohen is a member of the House Progressive Caucus.
