Source: Raw Story
By Kase Wickman

Former President Jimmy Carter is in an awkward position after he told NBC's Brian Williams that "I feel that my role as a former president is probably superior to that of other presidents" in an interview.

Carter quickly tried to clarify, saying that his work at the Carter Center and advising about international affairs, and taking non-governmental diplomatic trips to talk to leaders about human rights abuses and other issues.

"I feel that have an advantage over many other former presidents in being involved in daily affairs that have shaped the policies of our nation and the world," Carter said.

8. Yes, he's correct. Most ex-presidents exploit their notoriety by charging high fees for speaking
engagements. Carter builds houses for those less fortunate & is focused on humanitarian issues nationally & abroad.

12. His mistake was being interviewed by Brian Williams
Edited on Mon May-23-11 12:04 AM by LiberalFighter
I'm surprised Williams took time out to interview Carter when he needs his wife to make sure his car is pointed the right way when goes out of the country and always has his passport in his inside jacket pocket.
