3. That's OK. It was kind of a bust.
The MallWart where we went to look for abandoned SUVs still had a lot of people all over the place. This must be a very sinful neighborhood or something.

5. Yesterday was just a normal day for me. I fed the serpents their milk, lit the incense

before the altar of Bastet, spent a pleasant hour discussing string theory with the ghost of Dostoyevsky over morning tea, and added a bit more manure to the psilocybin beds in the basement.

Mindful of the lenghtening afternoon, I headed out to the vineyard with my lute and serenaded the grapes. As usual, the larks and finches sang harmony while the deer reposed at my feet.

I then went inside to the library where I laid a small fire on the hearth and consulted with my raven over the dinner menu. My suggestion of coq au vin was met with a terse "nevermore", so we settled on cioppino.

After dinner I retired once more to the library with a snifter of Napoleon brandy, leaving the household brownies to clean up the supper dishes, and watched through the French doors as a gentle rain began to fall. The raven and I had a lively conversation over the relative merits of Hegel, Bakunin, and Marx.

Then it was time for bed, and my nightly astral travel exercises with the cat.

All in all, it was just a Saturday like any other.

9. Normal? You call that normal?
Dostoyevsky didn't know beans about string theory when he was alive, and his ghost hasn't learned much about it in the intervening years. If you wanna talk string theory, conjure Archimedes or Pythagoras. Those guys have been keeping up with things over the years. Now, if you wanted to talk jurisprudence or mental retardation, maybe Dostoyevsky would be your guy, and of course he'd probly fit in pretty well with any organization with "Underground" in its name.

12. Tsk, tsk. So close-minded.
Of course he didn't know anything about string theory when he was alive, but he became curious about it later on after he wandered into a bar with a priest, a rabbi, and a physicist. There's a lot of social mingling in the afterlife, you know.

31. You are mistaken. I do not know this Alan Moore of whom you speak.
I had to google his name to find out who you were talking about. Upon reading his wikipedia entry, I realized I had seen a copy of the Watchman in my oldest son's possession over 20 years ago when he was an adolescent, however I've not otherwise been acquainted with Mr. Moore.

I trust you meant your post as a compliment?
