Killings Averaging 1 Daily in Dallas

DALLAS - At 2:00 in the afternoon on May 13, Dallas reported its thirteenth murder of the month.

Detectives can't explain it, though some have suggested that the economy might be to blame.

However, one thing is clear: the homicide unit is scrambling to keep up with the unsolved cases.

Gee whiz, you'd think a city in Texas, where it's virtually impossible to get your hands on a gun, would have a much lower murder rate!
