I think we need a Billy Jack revival.
But we need to update it for the times. Any writers want to suggest the setting and plot?

1. Honestly, I'd go directly to Tom Laughlin. He's run independently for president all these years.

He's even on Facebook.

2. Billy Jack yes, Tom Laughlin no
Honestly you could just do a movie about mineral mining exploitation on Native American lands. Illegal uranium extraction in the Black Hills for instance. Tom Laughlin's politics are kind of confused. He supported Ross Perot, and that man was a pretty clear cut example of right-wing demagogue. I'd prefer him to just kick his enemies than try to debate them.

3. I don't know anything about Laughlin's politics
but Perot was hardly a right-wing demagogue.

4. I agree.
He warned strongly against NAFTA for example and of offshoring. In some ways it's too bad he lost. If he won then the stranglehold that the 2 party corporate owned system has might have been broken or weakened.

5. Billy Jack didn't talk much.

6. I thought the movie sucked
Maybe I should watch it again. He wasn't exactly into Due Process.

7. If I remember correctly, Due Process was not something that applied
to Indian Affairs. The Indians, and later, Jean, were abused by the powerful.
