TV Reporter calls out Freepers on threats and harrassment
Looks like a Cleveland TV reporter was misquoted, and Freeped (Harassed and threatened) yestereday... Par for the course from that crowd

OPEN YOUR EARS BEFORE FALSELY ACCUSING PEOPLE!

Posted on Thu May 05 2011 13:14:06 GMT+0100 (GMT Daylight Time) by LynnaLai

Someone posted yesterday that a Cleveland TV station reported that "President Bush, who lost Osama bin Laden, declined President Obama's invitation to Ground Zero."

Then other posts accused me of making that outrageous statement. Now I'm getting threatening calls and emails.

THAT IS SO WRONG! I never came close to saying anything like that. I introduced CBS correspondent Danielle Nottingham's report on the latest regarding Osama bin Laden. Here is where I think the intial poster stopped listening: Her story excerpt verbatim says, "Tomorrow - the President heads for Ground Zero in New York City -- where he will meet with families of those killed the 9/11 attacks. He invited former President George W. Bush to join him -- but, the man who launched the hunt for Bin Laden declined."

LAUNCHED! So please, stop sending me hate mail. And maybe, just maybe, consider for a moment that an accuser may just be flat out wrong, before you threaten the accused.

2. I'd report all threats to the FBI.

Piss on those mouth breathers. Let them deal with the Big Boys for a while.

11. Me too. But you know, I *do* believe a third-party can file a report.
I'm over my quota this year for calls to the FBI, if someone else wants to do it.

6. Wows! Who's the Messiah? Obama? Any perceived criticism of W. Bush will be met with threats.

They still admire Cheney/bush like they are a minor deity.

Bush is Big Brother from 1984. Big Brother was just a figurehead for 'The Party'. The Party chose to create Him because it is easy to get the masses to worship a single man rather than an association. What was the conclusion of 1984? They Love Big Brother.

Welcome to Free Republic

I have been on this site for 15 years.

I have found more news here FIRST than any other place, in addition there are stories you will never hear anyplace else.

For the most part ‘Freepers’ are cordial and polite to everyone -even liberals- as long as they can contruct a coherent thought in complete sentences. In fact dissenting opinion is welcome- preaching to the choir does us no good- we WANT to try to change minds.

You might find out some things if you stick around long enough, with an open mind.

I heard the original broadcast AND can see how someone not paying close enough attention might have heard LOST instead of LAUNCHED, but you have to understand the mindset here.

We are very used to liberal media blaming Bush for everything. In the frenzy of the last two days some people may have gotten overzealous in their reaction to yet another example of blaming Bush when everything Obama campaigned against he continued to implement.

Have a nice day

Oh, and the new birth certificate is (another) fake.

17. TN 911 operator wanted to argue about pronounciation of Lafayette before she would dispatch EMTs.
Caller was from MN. There is something vital missing in these folks. (Victim kicked by a horse and sustained a broken femur her three toddlers were watching and were very, very upset.)
